TCP/IP uninstall problem

Windows 2000 server SP3, domain controller, dns and dhcp
server - I had a problem installing a scsi card. It
affected my nic, which then stopped working. I have taken
out the scsi controller card, removed replaced and
installed other nics, BUT I am still getting the same
error message - Event ID 4191
"IP could not open the registry key for adapter
TCPIP\Parameters\Adapters\NDISWANIP. Interfaces on this
adapter will not be initialized."

Recommended solution is to uninstall TCP/IP by opening
network propeties, highlighting TCP/IP and clicking on
uninstall, however my uninstall option is not available
(grayed out). In addition, I cannot get static IP
addresses to apply to this card - when I select static IP
enter, the relevant addresses and click OK it apears to
accept these, but when I go back into Properties, it shows
dynamic IP addressing for this protocol (HOWEVER, the IP
address which it is using is the correct address and DNS
and DHCP are working correctly ?!? but the domain
controller and resources are not accessible across the
network)

Any suggestions? - or should I reinstall the OS? :-(

Worked like a charm! If ever you need to do it make sure
you read and follow EVERY step (I left one out and it took
me hours to resolve why my networked machines were not
able to access server resources....!

Many thanks

Richard
