TCP/IP deleted by virus

Hi,
After a virus attack in my windows, I lost my tcp/ip. I can't get
online, all application that requires internet connection seems to be
bugged. Here's a screen shot of what happened when I boot my pc:

1. The wallpaper loads, but taskbar, desktop icons and everything else
didn't I can only view running process with ctrl-alt-del.. I have to
wait like this for about 5 min before it loads

2. When it loads, apps that requires internet connection seems to be
bugged. In this screenshot I got VPN dialer and Symantec AV popping
error messages

http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m143/skyblue21_2006/error-startup.jpg

3. This one shows I can't create a new dial-up connection. My previous
dial-up connection was erased

Now assuming I am able to scan and remove this virus, is there any way
to restore my TCP/IP without reformatting my windows? I've backed up
all my data, but I have heaps of applications, I don't want to
reinstall all of them.

Thanks
SkyBlue

For SP2 from a command prompt
(start>run>cmd>enter) type netsh winsock reset then press enter. That
command will reset/rebuild your tcp/Ip stack and settings. For Pre SP2 from
a command prompt
(start>run>cmd>enter) type netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt. You will have
to
reboot when done.

First up get rid of the nasties, clean out all temp files D/L Sysclean
and Ad-Aware run them from Safe Mode
http://www.trendmicro.com/download/dcs.asp
get the latest patern files here
http://www.trendmicro.com/download/viruspattern.asp

Ad-Aware http://www.lavasoft.de/

Once you are satisfied your machine is clean and still don't have
internet conectivity try this:
Start Run... type cmd then enter this command:
netsh winsock reset
