Task Scheduler Not Starting

W

WilliamG

I am having difficulty on my Win2K-Server because my Task
Scheduler is not automatically starting and I can't start
it manually. I open the Services console and attempt to
start Task Scheduler manually but it fails to start and I
get the following error message:

"Could not start the Task Scheduler service on Local
Computer."
"Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or
control request in a timely fashion."

Does anyone know how I can fix this?
