Paging File, Task Scheduler PROBLEMS

I am having problems with my Win2K-Server. It has been
working well until last week when, after a rebooting, I
get the error message:

"One or more services failed to start. See the event log
for details."

I click "OK" and after logging in I get the error message:

"Your system has no paging file, or the paging file is too
small."

I looked at my paging file settings and they are 2048MB
(min) to 4095MB (max)... seems OK.

Upon looking at the Event Log I find that Task Scheduler
did not start along with a list of about dozen other
services.
When I try to start the Task Scheduler service manually I
get the following error message:

"Could not start the Task Scheduler service on Local
Computer."
"Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or
control request in a timely fashion."

There had been no modification of services or virtual
memory on this machine when this occurred.

I have searched the Knowledge Database for a solution
without success. Does anyone have advice for me?

Try adding the SYSTEM account to your local
administrators group, and give it full access to your
root partition.
