Task Scheduler error 0x8007007a: (data area too small?)

S

Spyro Gumas

I am trying to set up a scheduled task. When I create a
task and enter user account information, I get the
following error:

0x8007007a: The data area passed to a system call is too
small

Does anyone out there know what this means, and how to
fix it?

Please note that I DO have a login password, so I am
meeting this XP requirement for the Task Scheduler.

Thanks,
Spyro Gumas

Spyro,

Check out this KB article - http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=246865. I
know you aren't using nt4 or IE5.01 because you posted to an XP newsgroups.
but perhaps just deleting the registry key from this KB article will fix you
right up.

Let me know if that worked,
