On our home think pad when I enable the task manager I get a window that says
that the task manager has been disabled by the administrator. How has this
happened and how to a reactivate the task manager?

Thanks for your help

We are having the same problem only it's not been on a think pad but on our
pc. I downloaded file and it worked, I was able to enable the task manager.
This morning when I logged on and checked it was disabled again, I had to go
through the steps again. Is this something I will have to do all the time or
is there another fix to keep it on?

Thanks

You're still infected with the virus/malware that is setting this restriction. Ensure your antivirus software is up to date, and scan your system, preferably from Safe Mode. You may also want to look into one or more "spyware" scanners such as:

AdAware, www.lavasoftusa.com
SpyBot Search and Destory, www.safer-networking.org
Microsoft Anti-Spyware Beta, http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...a2-6a57-4c57-a8bd-dbf62eda9671&displaylang=en

It is not unusual to run one, or more anti-spyware programs as almost all of them will catch something the others miss.
