Hello everyone,
I'm having a problem ending "SYSTEM" processes in task manager. Up
until about a couple days ago, I could end these programs just fine.
For example, I would end wanmpsvc.exe (part of an old AOL account) and
rtvscan.exe(and multiple other Norton processes). There are others,
nothing critical of course, but I won't bother listing them. Now
whenever I try to end any of these, I get an error stating "The
operation could not be completed. Access is denied." I am the
administrator for the computer, and I am the only one using it. And as
I said, I've been getting rid of processes like that for years using
this method, but for some reason, out of the blue, that changed a
couple of days ago.
Can anyone help? Oddly enough, for the first time, Google was of no
assistance.
Thanks in advance!
