I have noticed that sometimes the little "title" tool tips that pop up
when I mouse over a taskbar application icon are semi-hidden or
completely hidden behind teh task bar itself. At other times these
tips are displayed in full view just above the task bar. What causes
this? When it happens, what can I do to restore the full view?

Thanks.

It seems that, over time, the settings in the registry (or so my impression
is) become corrupted. The repair?

Rest it with Kelly's (MVP) taskbar tool thingy... If you like it you can do
more with it if you buy a copy.

Bug. Go to Start, Programs, R-click any entry and select Sort by name.
This will restore the "z-order" until the next time it breaks.
