Tables

I want to have a table with a 2 line heading but it seems that I am prevented
from having a 2 line heading as the check box for repeating the row is
disabled on rows subsequent to the first row. Is there some way to get a 2
row heading?

Say the first column contains a value whose contents are "Part 1" for a
variable number of rows and then changes to "Part 2" and so on. I want to
merge all of the cells in column one and have it's contents say "part 1"
centered for each page or centered for all the rows which are associated with
that value. Is there a way to get word to repeat this text on each page
which are associated with "part 1" and then "part2" etc? I am guessing that
this might be something I would have to do manually.

I am working with Word 2002.

Thanks in advance for your assistance?

You can have as many heading rows as you want, but they must be contiguous
and include the top row.

Thanks for the reply, but I'm unsure how to set these. My 2 rows of heading
are at the top of my table. When I select properties for the table and then
select the "row" tab, there is a check box to identify the row as heading you
wish to repeat. When I set this for the first row and then select the "next"
row, the check box for identifying it as heading is greyed out.

So How do you identify two contigous rows as heading?
