Sysvol Replication.

I just installed a new DC but the sysvol doesn't replicate with the
OldDC.I get this error on the event viewer.

Event ID: 13508

The File Replication Service is having trouble enabling
replication from "DC_Name" to "DC_Name" for
d:\winnt\sysvol\domain using the DNS name
dc_name.Domainname.rootDoamine. FRS will keep retrying.
Following are some of the reasons you would see this
warning.

[1] FRS can not correctly resolve the DNS name
dc_name.safeautonet.net from this computer.
[2] FRS is not running on dc_name.Doaminname.rootDoamine.
[3] The topology information in the Active Directory for
this replica has not yet replicated to all the Domain
Controllers.

This event log message will appear once per connection,
After the problem is fixed you will see another event log
message indicating that the connection has been
established.

So I ran DCdiag and I noticed that everthing passed except:

1st Error:
Starting test: advertising
warning:DSGetname returned information for
\\OldDC_name.Domainname.rootDoamin, When we were trying to reach
"NewDCname" .Server is not responding or is not suitable.

2ed Error:
Starting test:frssysvol
error:no record of file replication system, started sysvol
the Active Directory may be prevented from starting.
there are errors after the sysvol has been shared.
the sysvol can prevent the Active directory from starting.

Any help is appreciate it.

Have had a similar problem to this. It turned out to be DNS. Check for MSDCS
records, make sure they have registered correctly, and make sure the new DC
can contact the dns server.

Hope that helps.

To add to Craig's post, you can look at the
\winnt\system32\config\netlogon.dns file to see the DNS records that
should be registered for the DC. Check the System Event Log for DNS
registration errors. Make sure the DNS server your new DC is pointing
to has dynamic updates enabled, then stop and start the netlogon service
to try re-registering its records.

I did everything that you guys mentioned here but still no luck. As
far as Netlogon.dns file I only see the Record of the DC which is the
DNS, but I don't see any record for the 2ed DC (The newDC which it
doesn't replicate and it is not a DNS server). however when I check
the DNS management tool I don't see anything out of the ordinary
everything is registered fine.

Any other Ideas guys.

Thanks
Sam

I have exactly the same problem and I'm pretty sure that it is not DNS issue
http://www.tek-tips.com/gviewthread.cfm/lev2/3/lev3/19/pid/96/qid/75669
Here is some additional information about this problem, but I couldn't manage to apply solution suggested. The guy says that RPC service should be stopped but either in service manager or using "net stop" command line it is impossible to do for me. Additionally I couldn't register on that forum to ask the author of solution directly. What do you think about that solution? Is there any way to apply it?
