System upgrade problem. Please help.

Hi, I have a Windows 2000 server running on an old
computer. Recently I bought a new computer and it's a
lot faster than the old one.
I am thinking about to move all my stuff to the new
server. I can think of 2 ways to do it. One is to
install all my programs on the new computer and move all
data menually. The second way is to take the hard drive
from old server and put it into the new computer.
Is the second way possible? If it's possible, is it
faster than do it menually? And is there a instruction I
can follow?

Hello,

Placing the old hard drive in the new computer can be problematic. If the
disk controller is not recognized, the system will blue screen with a STOP
0x0000007b. My recomendation is to install clean, install applications and
migrate data files to the new system.
