I decided to give it a try and installed it on a new partition alongside Lubuntu on my old laptop IBM T-43, so it is now a dual boot configuration with Mate flavour. I have been monitoring it since last 3 days and it is producing more results in less time compared to Lubuntu, Is it really possible? I did not think so but it sure is. How can an operating system be a medium for faster crunching? I wonder

It is working great and the improvements are very appealing. Everything worked out of the box, I did not encounter any issues. I am very impressed with how far this distro has come. I have used Mint many times in the past as it progressed version after version but this one is the most polished and complete without hiccups to boot.
