Early today, my computer started to lose data. I would
click on My Computer, hit the c drive, click the
directory where my data was located and one by one, the
files were wiped clean. One minute they would have KB of
data and then next, it would show 0. I have scanned my
computer for viruses and nothing shows up. In an effort
to roll back time (realizing this will not restore my
lost data), i tried to do a system restore. however, no
matter what time i chose to restore from, it would go
through the procedure and then tell me that it was not
able to restore from that date and asked me to chose
another date. i have now tried over 50 dates in the past
and i can't seem to do a system restore. Does anyone
have any ideas. I am using a Compaq desktop which is
about 1 year old and runs on windows xp. that's about
all i can tell you. appreciate any help.
