System Restore

I dont know if this is the right newsgroup, but my computer was getting all
funky so i tried doing a system restore but every time its unable to restore
the previous settings. After that i tried using my restore cd i got when i
purchased my computer, but that wont even work. says put it in and restart,
but it doesnt read it. the cd drive does work. its an emachines computer.
anyone know somethin i dont?

Most Likely.........is your CD set up as the first boot device in your BIOS with
the HD being 2nd boot device.
Then upon restart you should get a message at bottom of screen that says"push
any key to start from CD"
