System Restore not working

In my system properties screen I have no System Restore
tab. When I try to set a restore point I get an error
message "The procedure entry point
RemoteAssistancePrepareSystemRestore could not be located
in the dynamic link library winsta.dll".
I have reinstalled windows...but that did not help.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Make sure you have service pack 1/1a installed or
reinstall if you reinstalled windowsxp....Good luck.
