SYSTEM RESTORE DOES NOT WORK

I have windows XP, and when I try to restore my system I get to the confirm
Restore Point Selection when I click Next to launch restore nothing
happens..the next botton does not work...I do have Mcafee installed and I
have heard that it sometimes prevents system restore from working..any
suggestions???

Rokita,

Possibly this is what has happened :-
defraging the HDD disk deletes the system restore points.

in future you could try a program called ERUNT.

NO, defragmenting the HD does NOT remove restore points; running Disk
Cleanup does remove all but the most recent ones.
