Have you recently installed Realplayer(RealOne). There is a known problem with Realplayer deleting restore points in Windows XP. As far as I am aware Microsoft are aware of the problem but, not surprisingly, are in no great hurry to fix it. Clearly they would prefer us all to be using Media Player instead.

Because that's how many restore points the amount of memory you
devoted to it can hold.

I just did a System Restoration on my xphome and the calendar type menu I saw had arrows outside the tiop sides of that menu and you just click on them to go back or forward to the next month.

i,m just assuming that the initial restore point is when
the operating system was first installed on the computer

How many do you see? and what happens if you click the left point arrow
head at the top, to go back to the November page.

BTW it is not a suitable tool for long term protection - points will get
deleted anyway after 90 days, and I would regard 2 or 3 weeks as being
the useful range
