system restore question

I tried to use system restore and Windows will not use any restore point. I
even went back to last month says system restore failed. I got the problem
fixed that I was trying to use system restore to correct.

My question is should I delete all restore points so the machine can make
new ones. It is win xp on a Toshiba Satellite note book. Thanks

You would do better to turn it off, reboot, then turn it back on.

If I understand correctly, you had a problem that you thought using
System Restore would fix. You somehow solved (or thought you solved) the
problem. Yet, you cannot get System Restore to work. Am I correct?

If so, look at the link Gerry posted.

It's also possible the problem was not fixed 100%. What was the specific
problem?

Daave,
Adobe flash would not work. When I went to youtube it told me that
JavaScript was not enabled or Adobe flash was not installed. I installed it
several times it said instalation was complete but same message on youtube
and would not work on other sites. I went to Adobe and downloaded a
uninstaller to remove Flash and any old versions. Reinstalled Flash all is
well. Nothing had been changed on the computer as far as I know. I was
beeing a bit lazy trying system restore but I am glad I did now I know
something is wrong.

Sammy

Went to adobe and downloaded an uninstaller to clear the system of all flash
versions
