Please, forgive me for re-posting. I didn't get any answer, so I guess this
is not the right forum to publish my question. But, please, maybe somebody
can steer me into the right direction? Here it goes again (if no answer I
promise I won't bother again):
...................................................................................................................
If I leave my machine unattended, while connected to the Web with an ADSL
connection, for a few hours, when I come back to her, I see that the
connection has been closed (I didn't check automatic disconnection as an
option), and, worse, that I cannot execute any program, including
"shutdown.exe", because of the following message:
"Insufficient resources exist to complete the requested service".
In this state, only a hot reboot is possible.
Questions:
1. What is causing this drain of resources?
2. Is there any way of recovering the resources without resorting to a hot
reboot?
3. What may possible cause the connection to the ISP to be closed?
TIA,
