System hang when right click mouse on desktop icon

Hi, I'm using Windows XP. I'm having trouble when I right click my mouse on
my desktop icon such as my computer or recycled bin or any shortcut link, the
system will hang indefinitely.

If I left click my mouse, the application will open normally.. Can anyone
please advise me what is wrong and how to solve this??

With ShellExView (http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html) you will see all shell extensions and you'll have the possibility to disable them. In my opinion one of those handlers are freezing the context menu display.

Thanks Ramesh, I have resolved the problem by disabling the "cuplrit" context

disabled it.

help me too

what is that context menu handler? i also have problem in right click button. it hangs everytime i rightclick an icon and goes send error reprt. it also hangs everytime i press the ctrl key while an icon is being selected. i can't copy an icon nor look at its properties.
