My board (P5GD2) has a 4-pin "system warning speaker" conncector. Where do
I get such a speaker? The two stores I asked at had no idea what the hell I
was talking about. Thx.

This is just the crappy speaker that is included with most cases.
Usually a 1.5" or so speaker with a red & black lead off of it.
Sometimes its a smaller plastic thing that looks more like a buzzer. It
is just used if there is an error and to provide you with "startup
beeps". It is usually a 4 pin connector, but only the two end pins are
used.

Look in an old computer case, if your current one doesn't have the speaker.

Here's a link to a pic of one I found on ebay:

Many cases come with the speaker. What case do you have?

Thanks for the reply. Yep that's the sort of thing I need. My board also
has the audio POST messages so I wanted to be ready for that too. My case
came with no speaker. I'll find it somewhere or on ebay... :)

I have the Antec P160 which came with no speaker.

I think it does. If there is a wire pair that connects to the
speaker pins on the motherboard, it should lead to a small
transducer of about one-half inch in diameter that is affixed
to the case. It transmits sound by vibrating the case.

I think it doesn't. There is no mention in the P160 User's Manual.

Yep, and definitely not included with my P160 anyway. I gather it usually
comes with the case. So maybe I should contact Antec, but then what are
they gonna do...
