System audio playback "slow"

Hi

My laptop audio playback sounds awful. Anything I play on it (web streaming
audio, windows built in sounds, etc) all play back slowly (like a 45rpm
record on 33 speed for you old people out there). I checked my Windows Media
player settings for playback speed and it is set to 1.0. I also checked my
audio settings and there does not appear to be any other setting. FYI it is a
Toshiba tecra S1 laptop....

Can anyone help me on this one???

Change your speed again, you can set it for 0.0 up to 2.5.
Yours is on 1.0, so try increasing the speed. You can also try
and increase the accelerator to increase speed. Go to: Start>Control Panel>
Sounds and Audio>Audio tab>Advance button>Performance tab.
