** Sysprep and Profiles **

Guest

Please explain what I am missing here. I setup my server and run Sysprep.
After sysprep runs and I login on the first boot it creates a "new" profile,
ie. Administrator.ComputerName. The Administrator profile that I had setup
is ignored; therefore, all the customizations I create for the users are lost
as each user logs in with a new default user profile.

How do I ensure that after sysprep runs that the user will use the profiles
that I setup for them and not create new ones!?

Thanks!!!!

Du you deploy XP SP1 or XP SP2?

If deploying Windows XP SP1 you need to copy the configured profile to
the default user profile.

Windows XP SP2 Mini-Setup was modified so that, by default, Mini-Setup
will copy any customizations from the local administrator account to
the default user account.

There is a hotfix available for reverting this to SP1 behaviour.
