Sys Restore won't go to previous month?

I'm trying to use System Restore on XP Home SP2. It shows me today's date
(June 4 2005) with no other restore points in June. The upper-left arrow in
the calendar display says "Previous Month," but when I click it, nothing
happens. No HD activity, no display change. Computer isn't frozen or
anything. It just won't go to the previous month at all.

How do I get to the restore settings in May?

Thanks for any help!

You've probably lost the May system restore points then, somewhere along the
line, if you can't go back. Look closely at the 1,2,3 of June, though. If
one of them is in bold then click it.

I have a similar problem with XP Home SP1. My system restore points
are limited to just today (I can create them and restore from those
listed, but yesterday's and earlier seem to disappear! I cannot
access any created in previous months

I tried the following and the "Installation failed"

How do I reinstall System Restore?

Warning: This will delete ALL existing restore points.

Note: The following file is located in a hidden folder. To view hidden files follow these steps:

Open Control Panel - Folder Options - View tab, select "Show hidden files and folders" and uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types", click OK.

Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the windows\inf folder.

Find the sr.inf file, right click on it and select Install.

If the Files Needed dialog box appears, click Browse. Locate the Sr.sy_ file in the i386 folder of the Windows XP CD on in the i386 folder on the hard drive, click the file, and then click Open.

Any help would be much appreciated.

TIA

Hi Al,

This error indicates that there is low disk space on HarddiskVolume3.

If the free space on any partition system restore is monitoring falls
below 50MB, System Restore will SUSPEND & PURGE all restore points to
free up disk space.

The best solution is to stop System Restore from monitoring that
partition.
How to disable a monitored drive:

Here is some more information on adjusting disk space and keeping
System Restore Healthy:

Sounds logical.

I'll try your suggestion and see how it goes.

Thanks for the advice.
