Sys Config Utility

In my WIN 98SE days I could select what pgms started up when I booted
via MSCONFIG, plain and simple to do.

With My XP Home Edition, I use the MSCONFIG to select startup pgms only
to find when I reboot, I get an error msg about the Sys Config Utility.

Under the general tab in the Sys Config Utility, I select normal startup
and it defaults my startup selections back to where I changed them. If
I select "Selective Startup" I am able to choose the startup programs,
apparently.

My question is, will this be a problem for me to use the Selective
Startup selection over time.

Tks all.

Hi,

No, I run virtually all systems in Selective startup mode.

No. Select "do not show this again.." instead of normal startup. It's not an
error message. It's just reminding you that you are using selective startup.
It's always best to change Startup option in the program itself instead of
msconfig, if you can.
