synchronizing palm pilot

A

anonymous

Hi all,
I have offline files disabled thru group policies because
of some synchronizing problems.
My question is since I have offline files disabled would
it affect doing a hotsync from a palm pilot thru a usb
port?
I can do the hot sync thru administrators account but not
thru a user account but I'm not sure if it is because of
offline files synchronizing.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Sherry,
Your problem remind me a problem I met with Palm Pilot Desktop sofware
installation. My boss wanted to use his desktop to sync with his Palm. I
used administrator account to install the software. The installed software
worked fine under administrator account but not under his account. I then
reinstalled it under his account using run as but with no joy. The reason
was the installed software only works if the user account you used for
installation has the adminstrator right. I needed to give administrator
right to my boss's account, installed the software under his account.
(After installation, I changed his account right back to normal.)
Hope this experience can give you a little bit of help.
