Synchronized PDA on New PC - Past Dates Gone!

Hello!
I sincerely hope that someone can help me with this issue. I rely heavily on
Outlook, and my Pocket PC (Pocket PC 2003 w/ latest version of ActiveSync) I
have been keeping all of my calendar events and my contacts on one PC with
Outlook XP, synchronizing with my PDA. Recently, I bought a new computer,
which is now running Outlook 2003. I installed ActiveSync on that PC, and
synchronized. Everything has seemed to be great until today, when I went back
to April 2004 on my calendar, to find the info about a past appointment, and
it was not there. In fact, no past appointments are on my calendar that date
back further than when I synched with the new PC. Not only that, but when I
synched with the new PC, all of my past dates disappeared from my PDA as well.
This is pretty distressful to me, as it is important that I keep those
entries as a sort of a journal. I refer back to them often.

Now, it has been a month since I first synched with this new PC, so I have
many new entries in my Contacts, and in my Calendar. I don't want to replace
the new stuff, but I want my old, past dates back. Currently, the only way
that I can view them is to fire up my old PC, where they still are.
Arrrrrrrrrrgh!

Please, please, somebody tell me how I can add the missing past dates into
my PDA or directly into my new Outlook, without affecting the new entries
I've made in the last month.
Thanks you so much, and best regards, Babe

Copy the PST file to the new computer if you can network them, or burn a CD
if you can do that and copy the file to your new PC's hard drive & remove
the read only attribute - then use file | open, to open the PST, and copy
the items you wish to your new PST file.

If you can't do that, export your whole calendar to a PST file on your old
PC and see if you can fit it in an email, whatnot, to get it to the new PC,
and do the same.

Turn off autoarchive in Outlook (tools, options, other).

You should make regular backups of *all* your data so you can easily do
restores.

Hi Lanwrench!
Thanks for your reply! I did copy the Outlook.pst from one of my computers,
which has Outlook 2003 installed on it, and I copied it to my other computer,
which still has Outlook 2002/XP installed on it. When I then try to import it
into my Outlook, I get an error that says that the .pst from the Outlook 2003
is not compatible with the version of Outlook that I am trying to import it
to.
I have not found an option for backing up a backwards compatible .pst, so I
am asking, do you know of a way to do this?
Thank you again, OcarinaMaker

1. Never Import a .pst file.
2. Create a new .pst file in Outlook 2003 (file->new->outlook data
file->type Outlook 97-2002 compatible.) Drag and drop your data from the
2003 format to the 97-2002 file. Open that file in your previous version of
Outlook.
