synchonize outlook with another computer

Looking for away to transfer outlook files from desktop tp laptop when
traveling. Primary outllook computer is desktop. Can I copy files andplaceon
laptop and which one. Right now, When I take the outlook.pst file, the laptop
shows the transfer OK though will then re-receive messages of an unknown
defined time period.
