Synch Internet Time more often

O

OscarVogel

How do I make XP & W2k3 workgroup machines auto synchronize with an Internet
time server more frequently than once per week?

Note that these are NOT domain members.

On the "Internet Time" tab in "Date & Time Properties" the "Next
synchronization" seems to always be 1 wk after the last successful synch.
But we need to synch at least every day. How do I do that?

(Most all of the info I have found regarding time synchronization refers to
domain members which don't have that "Internet Time" tab.)

Thanks!

You can use the NET TIME command to specify an NTP server to synchronize to,
or set up one of your Windows Server 2003 computers to synchronize
externally and then use that server as the NTP source for the rest of the
network.

Thanks Sooner. I edited the registry to change the frequency from 1 wk to
3600 seconds. That seems to have worked.
