Symantec Code Alert Problem

Please can anyone help on this matter. I just bought my wife a advent 8215p
laptop. I installed Norton 360 on it. Installation went fine. But everytime I
try to start the program I get a message : Symantec Code Alert, DLL Loading
Problem or Debugger detecter or Integrity Violated. I have searched the web
looking for answers or maybe a fix for this problem. Hit a brick wall now
dont know what to do. I've even tried uninstalling it, but still get the same
message and it wont launch the uninstall shield. OPerating system is Vista
home.

I will be very gratefull for any suggestions,

While you say you installed Norton 360, you did not mention that you
bought it. If you bought it (and it is not an OEM version) then call
Symantec for help on installing and using their product. They even
have a web form if you prefer e-mails to phone calls.

Questions about Vista are best asked in the Vista newsgroups, not here
in an XP home. The Vista newsgroups are where the Vista experts hang
out, and you are more likely to get the answer you need there than
here.

That said, my recommendation is that you uninstall Norton. It's the
*worst* security software on the market. There are lots of better
freeware alternatives.

did the computer come with a 30 free trial av program if so uninstall it first
