Windows XP Switch Off the montor when not in use

Hi ,
Kindly guide me how to switch off the monitor automatically when the system is locked for more than 5 mins.
I dont have admin rights for the system , can it be possible for me to implement it in my system?

Power options in the control panel.

Failing that, use the button on the front of the monitor.

you can't 'switch off' the monitor, unless you press the power button, however, you can send it into 'power save mode', it may even come out of it also.

You need to make the desired settings in the control panel or you can also use the power save mode option.
