SVCHOST.EXE Application Error

One of our comouters running Windows XP is getting the following error message:

"The instruction at "0X7C9190C7" referenced memory at "0x0c45ff46. The
memory could nor be read.
Click ok....etc....

I have done the follpwing to try to fix:
Ran a scan in Norton (no errors)
Ran a scan in AVG (no errors)
Verified Windows update service settings
Re Registered Windows update DLL's
Downloaded and ran MalwareBytes.org

At this last point, my coputer crashes and my screen is just blue. During
the scan I can see it working and it gets to 6 infections but it does not
finish and I can not fix.

Any ideas or suggestions? I can not find anything on the web for the error
"0x7..." and "0x0c45..."

Thank you
