SUS SP1 Sync error

I am getting this error when trying to sync my sus server
to microsoft. I get it here at work and I built a 2k
server box at home and am getting the same thing? Does
anyone know what may be the issue? I can put the url in
and download the file manually it just doesnt work when i
sync it.

I have seen all kinds of endings to this error but
never "the data is invalid". Microsoft says that suffix to
an error is a generic one.???

Also I found from microsoft faq about SUS the following:

Q. What URLs need to be allowed at the firewall in order
for synchronization to occur?

A. You need to allow access to the following URLs:

.. http://www.msus.windowsupdate.com
.. http://download.windowsupdate.com
.. http://cdm.microsoft.com

Now i cant directly access msus and cdm, but download
works? here are some pings

Update replys fine???? This seems to be the result from
any network I try. Is this a common responce.
Any help would be appreciated.
