SUS and no reboots

S

Simon CHurch

Hello,

We want to use SUS to deploy SP4 to all our servers, but
do not want any of them to be rebooted under any
circumstance. We want to have full control over the
reboot, so that we can do it manually whenever we want to.

All the various options and reg hacks etc outlined in the
documentation are confusing. What is the clear cut answer
to deploying SP4 without any reboots, no matter who is
logged in or who has the machine locked?

Please advise.

Thanks,

Simon

Simon,

Move your servers to their own OU, apply the SUS GPO, and make sure you
Enable "No auto-restart for scheduled automatic Updates installations."
This will not restart your servers.

Thank you
