Support Soft

Every time I close Mail, a message comes up saying aI am not logged on as the
administrator (which I am ) so the installer cannot run. It says SupportSoft
at the top. ANy suggestions as to what this is and how I can stop it? I do
log off and log back on as the administrator but it still comes up every time!

Thank you

SupportSoft is not a part of Windows Mail, so we can't advise you.
You need to find out what special program you installed that
included this SupportSoft thing.

I also get this message when I close windows mail. I just received my new
dell laptop with vista on 12/23/07 I have not downloaded anything. I think it
has something to do with windows mail. I sure hope some comes up with an
answer to this annoying popup.
I tried searching for this program but nothing comes up.

Sorry, I don't know how to get rid of this SupportSoft thing.
It is not part of Windows Mail.
You might try calling Dell tech support.

Do a thorough check for malware, following all of the steps at one of these

So How Did I Get Infected Anyway?
For quite a few people it's by installing programs like Messenger Plus,
whose ads for malware don't identify the malware as such and try to convince
you that you owe it to the author. See also:

Don't ever do a "default" install of anything. Always choose Custom and see
what else is being carried along. Don't install any extras you're not sure
of.
