strange error message

When I shut down Windows Mail I get the following message
"Yor are not currently logged into your computer as an Administrator. This
installer requires that the unser be logged in as an Administrator. Please
log out and log back in as an Administrator, and then restart the installer."
Powered by SupportSoft.

I don't have any programs by any company called support soft and this only
happens when I shut down Windows Mail. Any suggestions will be appreciated

I am having the same problem. If you look back on the list of issues to 5/15
and see an entry titled 'logging out of email' you'll see some suggestions
given to me. They didn't resolve my issue, but may help you. I'm beginning to
think I'll have to live with it for a while. I just got this computer and
when I go to Microsoft help they tell me they'd be glad to help me for a nice
fee, otherwise I need to go to HP for help. HP tells me to go to Microsoft.
Bill Gates pisses me off!

You beat me to it Gary. I had the same problem and went into my control
panel, selected 'change startup programs' and disabled 'supportsoft sprtcmd'
from starting up automatically and the error message no longer appears. I am
running Vista by the way. I also stopped the Norton Security app from
starting automatically since my company provides me with McAfee for free.
Norton was a 'free trial' that came with the computer when I bought it a few
weeks ago.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Support Soft is tied into my support program
from my ISP, Time Warner. Followed the advice of turning it off in startup
programs and the problem has stopped. Again, thanks for the help.
