Subforms shifting when form opens (and not native screen resolutio

I have a form that has two subforms on it. When the end-user has the screen
resolution for the monitor set to anything other than the native resolution,
these two subforms shift about a half an inch lower. This, in turn, places
the subforms over the top of other data entry areas. If I change the screen
resolution to the native resolution, this issue goes away. When I change it
back, the issue returns.

This wouldn't be a problem if my end-users all had perfect vision and didn't
need to have their icons as big as bowling balls. Because I can't force them
to permanently change their resolutions, the only fix I have is for them to
temporarily do so while in the database and change back afterwards. However,
this isn't a fix that is sitting well with some. Has anyone heard of this
issue? I'm really hoping that this is a known bug and there's a solution.

Thanks in advance. :)

Are those two subforms perhaps using a docmd.movesize to establish
their position?

Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. For some reason I kept
getting the "temporarily unavailable" error when trying to visit the site.

The database was designed in 2007. We are using both 2003 and 2007, but the
file format is 2002/2003.

I wish those were the right straws. There is no code dealing with size or
position in the entire database.

Thanks for grasping though.

The Microsoft interface has it's issues. I would suggest using a newsreader
such as, Agent, Outlook Express or Windows Mail.

As for the link, it should work with the 2002/2003 format. HOWEVER, as I
have never used the code make a back-up and use it there first. (A good
idea anyway, to make back-ups that is).

Gina,

Thanks for the suggestion. I had trouble with the links on the URL you
provided. However, I found the website below that discusses an improved
version. I have tested it on my system and it works great. I've also tried it
on a lower resolution monitor and no problems. Now the real test comes...
trying it on one of my problem PC's and seeing if it fixes the original
issue. I'm betting that it does.

Thanks again. :)
