streaming video not working

IE 6.0 will not play streaming video from cnn.com and other news websites.
The window pops up, but the screen remains blank. I have deleted the temp
internet files as CNN said to do, but that did not work. I have XP
Professional. Any ideas on a fix?

Mine does the same thing when trying to view music video's on cmt. So I tried
cnn and same thing there. I am trying to figure it out it is driving me
crazy. Then I will post my results.
