strategic commander and XP?

Strategic Commander is certified on the sidewinder page
with windows xp... So i bought XP and software wont
install and cant get it to see the commander... looked
all over for the updated files to make the commander work
no luck .. just 3.02 sidewinder software which wont work
with XP... the certification make me decide to try XP ..
now I will have to go back to 98 to get my strategic
commander to work?

Can you be more specific about what you mean by doesn't work? Does the
software install? Do you get an error message? What is the exact error
message? Does the device appear in Device Manager? Do you have a VIA chipset
for your USB controller? If so do you have the VIA update

just to inform you thats its not the XP OS that is
stopping it because i have no problems with mine.
i guess you are having a conflict
are you using a USB Hub.
