When you click on "My Documents" on your desktop, not only do you get a
listing of folders and files contained therein but you also get a 2 inch
wide verticle column on the left hand side of the screen that has on it:
"File and folder tasks" drop down menus; "other places" drop down menu's
and "details" dropdown menus. This is normal. What is not normal is when
I close out "my documents", the vertical bar remains with the above
mentioned wording on it, still active. This bar stays on my desktop no
matter what I do. I have tried a system restore but each time I try that,
my computer tells me that it cannot do a system restore because nothing has
changed. Any ideas out there. Suggestions appreciated.
