Strange Sound when new page loads

Whenever I load a new web page, I hear a loud sound that sounds like a water
droplet, kind of a "bwooop" sound. I know it's not the pop up blocker. It's
pretty loud and starting to get on my nerves. Has anyone ever experienced
this? Can anyone help?

Thanks to anyone for your suggestions!

Don! Thank you so much, that was exactly it! I thought I had a virus or
something, it was driving me crazy.

Thanks again for replying!

I'm getting a strange sound also when web pages load only mine is a fast
whurring sound somthing like "zzzzzzzz" or perhaps a low-pitched zipper
sound. I have looked at my popup blocker settings and the sound is turned
off. I went to the control panel-sounds and checked each sound there - none
sounds like my whurring. I am not running pest patrol but am running Webroot
Spywatcher and have been for about a year. Any thoughts of what may be
causing my unwanted sound. Additionally, this sound only started about two
weeks ago.
