strange problem importing and exporting

I have posted this several times before and unfortunately
I got no response. I could sure use some help. I am
experiencing a problem importing and exporting phone
numbers and email addresses between Outlook and Excel.
This problem just started recently. E-mail addresses
will not transfer at all. When exporting contacts to an
Excel file, all phone numbers show up either as 0 or 1.
When importing from Excel, the phone numbers show up in
Outlook similar to this example: -1482002896.000.
Recently I downloaded Spybot-Search and Destroy and
Spyware Blaster, and also upgraded my virus protection
with Norton AntiVirus 2004. Could this be the source of
the problem? Any recommendations for a fix? Your
assistance would be greatly appreciated.

The phone number issue when importing from Excel is likely because the phone
numbers are being treated as "numbers" versus text and as such is getting
translated to the corresponding value which is a common issue.

Not entirely sure about your email address issue but would check to make
sure that the email address is located where you think it is (ergo Email1,
Email2 or Email3) when exporting. Would have to see the data to know the
input cause for sure.

If formatting your phone number column as a TEXT column doesn't fix your
issue - try saving your Excel worksheet as a CSV file and import that -
should fix your phone number problem (the phone numbers should appear
correctly in the CSV file after the save).
