strange occurrance with cd-rom disk

I have a CD rom disk that has a backup of files from my old computer. I have
successfully retrieved files on my new computer. However, the other day I
opened one of those files, altered it, and saved it to my new hard drive.
Now, the CD rom disk is only showing about 10 files (before there were about
150), but it is still saying the CD disk space available is 0% (that is what
it was will all the other files).

Anyone have any clue what might have happened to all the files on the CD rom
disk?

Did you use a different packet writing software for the new data?
