Strange Noise on XP or Office 2003

Hi All

I have a newly installed XP version on my new PC both of which I'm
absolutely delighted with. However, there is a strange noise that occurs
regularly on my PC, it is as if a "metronome" is ticking every hour or every
couple of hours, it makes a similar noise as when a "warning dialogue box"
pops up if you know what I mean.

And another noise is a clicking noise that happens...but the thing that is
confusing is that the noises are unacompanied. Nothing changes, no dialogue
boxes pop up so I am wondering what it can be?

Try and identify the sound in Sounds and Multimedia control panel (probably a
pop up blocker notification/ActiveX control blocked).

The No Sounds Scheme should get rid of the sounds (you can still play music
in Media player, etc).
