Using C-media 3d wave device and Creative SBS250 speakers (i think) we play some songs and some parts are missing, namely the heavy guitar parts. Nothing else seems to be affected, just those guitar bits.

Any ideas?:)

Censorship ? ... damned DRM.

What songs ?

What media player ?

Do the songs play on the record player/tape/CD ?

haha,

Not specific songs exactly, just bits with heavy guitar Mucks :). Seems to be in mp3 and m4a. It happens when we play it in Itunes.

The cd of the songs works perfectly fine; the stereo player reads the songs perfectly.

Just seems to be in the media players.... :(

Has anyone had anymore ideas? Those songs are working correctly on my computer; it seems to a be a problem with her audio configuration.

Ah okay, it might be.

I saw that it was on 5.1, but i assumed it was right since they are pretty good speakers (even if there are 2 of them).

Where is that setting? control panel> sound and speech > sound and audio?

Thanks for the reply :)

edit: unless there is a setting in Itunes?

Do you havea 'virtual surround' setting/button, or something called something like that?

Logitech call it Matrix mode.

It plays any stereo audio through all 5 speakers.

There are 2 speakers which are made by creative. I looked at the audio settings and it was where it should be ('desktop speakers').

I don't know where any other settings would be since there doesn't seem to be specific software to the speakers.

Where would you find the 'virtual surround' setting PG?

Thanks :)

Just as an update to say that it's definitly the more heavy guitar pieces that are 'missing' or 'muted'.

I cannot find any setting that resolves this. Downloading Realtek now to see if that will sort it.

Second update:

You are reading the typing of a certified moron.

The green audio plug wasn't plugged in properly.

 :(
