STOP ERROR 0x000001E

2 days ago my PC started getting a wierd stop error that I
couldn't get past so I reformatted my whole HD and
reinstalled my win2k pro. Well after that it was fine
untill I started installing my vga driver I got a stop
error again, this time I just installed a different driver
for my card which for some reason didn't cause problems.
However I then decided to install the newest Windows Media
Player and when I rebooted I got a stop error again:

*** STOP: 0x000001E
(0xC0000005,0xEB471A59,0x00000000,0x00000028)
KMODE EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED

I went into safe mode and uninstalled it and its fine now
but I know something is wrong because couple days ago my
pc ran everything fine and strangely reformatting my HD
doesn't help at all

I think I'm screwed but maybe someone knows something
