I'm getting this error with XP HE. Can't find my
installation disk, ideas?

Hey Brandie,

Were you running sfc when this occurred ?

Have you installed service pack 1, an updated version of this file was
included in sp1.

If not, then do so, and it should fix the problem.

If you have installed sp1, then a copy of this file should be in
\windows\servicepackfiles\i386

Go into \windows\system32\dllcache and rename the sfcfiles.dl to
sfcfiles.bak
Now go into \windows\system32 and do the same thing.
Now windows file protection should kick in, it can't replace the file from
the dllcache folder because you renamed it, so it should look to the
servicepackfiles folder, if you didnt have sp1 installed, it would prompt
for the installation cd.
