still no solution

it seems that my login name and e-mail acount r different i dont know how
this could be but could sombody please help i know that im a pain but i
really apreciate the help given my problems states as follows
When i try to send an E-mail thru windows mail it says it tries and then an
error message appears. I know this seams like a common question but I would
apreciate the help. I can send E-mails thru aol. Just fine. But when i try to
reply to a craigs list add, it uses windows mail. So it never works the error
message is as follows
The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be
correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this
problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the
"I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining
the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

The rejected e-mail address was '(e-mail address removed)'. Subject
'tailor/sewing/alterations', Account: 'imap.aol.com', Server: 'smtp.aol.com',
Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '505 MAIL FROM sender and AUTH username do
not match', Port: 587, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 505, Error Number:
0x800CCC78
i do not know how to change my auth user name or why the heck this is
happining cant i just push some buttons and it will work lol

The "auth" username is found as follows:
Tools, Accounts, select that imap.aol.com account, click Properties,
Servers. The auth username is in the 'E-mail username' field. It must be
the same as the username in the 'E-mail address' field on the General tab.
AOL is one of the few ISPs that requires this.

Try this:
In Windows Mail click on Tools / Accounts
Click inside the 'Mail' panel to highlight it, click Properties.
Click the Servers tab
Check the entries for E-mail username and password.

I have just today purchased a new laptop with Vista, and 1 am also having
trouble with Windows Mail after years of using Outlook Express.
Can you answer this.......
How do you switch folders? I am currently in Inbox, but can't find how to
switch to Sent Items etc. Outlook Express displayed a list of all folders on
the left panel and it was easy to switch.
Why do they change these things !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK - cancel my request. A new item has just appeared on the task bar, far
right, "Folder List". It definitely wasn't there before, believe me, the
last one on the right was "Find" which I used in the hope that it would help.
I now have the folder list !!!!!!!

Can't trust computers.
