staying on-line when switching users.

I have a problem staying on-line when switching users. At
first I got a dialogue box asking me if I wanted to stay
on-line when switching users but that has disappeared and
now when I switch users my dial-up connection is cut. How
do I get the original dialogue box back or stay on-line
when switching?

Download and install TweakUI from:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

Click on the Logon tree header and check "Keep RAS connection ...".

Then, when you fast-user-switch, the new user should see a running Internet
connection.

Is that what you wanted to do?

You may have to set up a new Internet connection by running the New
Connection Wizard, merely so that it places the icon on All Users desktops.

I have no idea why this setting wasn't the default for a multi-user system
like XP.
