Status in Windows Messenger

Hi,

I am using Windows Messenger 4.7 client for exchange 2000 server.
I have problem my messenger status :
- sometimes the status does not change from "online" to "away" while my
computer is inactive?
and also doesn't from "away" to "Online" while my computer is active.

Could you please help my for this probelm ?

Windows Messenger 5.1 is out now, your using a really old version, which
probably had some bugs, I recommend using the latest one, to fix security and
other bugs within the software

Greetings Darlie,

A number of things can stop the idle detection from working properly, unfortunately you'll
have to basically use process of elimination to find out what it is.

Since you have Plus installed open the main Messenger window, clicking the Plus! menu, then
Preferences, General Options, then Miscellaneous and make use of the "Automatically change
status after a period of inactivity" option there instead.
